Jenny Gannon is a scam artist, not a reborn doll artist

This is not the first time I've talked about "artist" Jenny Gannon and I don't mind spreading the word when people in my industry are scamming other people.

My first dealings with Jenny were about a year ago when she had listed on her website the sale of 50+ "Jayden" kits by Natalie Scholl. I had not yet received one of the prototypes of Jayden and Jenny claimed that she had them in stock and ready to ship. You see, the prototypes come out 4-8 weeks before the production kits so it was impossible that she had them in stock, ready to ship AND, Natalie confirmed that she did not sell Jenny 50+ kits.

Anyway, while "investigating" Jenny and this scam, I found on her website many of my pictures. She did not give credit to me and used them as if they were her work.

Through many other ladies, who's photos were also used on Jenny's website, we got her site shut down. But she just moves on to a new site.

So what did she do this week? She sent a picture of a doll that was not hers saying it was the doll she was sending. The doll arrived to the new owner and it was TERRIBLE!  There used to be a post on Doll Fan with the pictures but it has since past the date of staying on post.

This kind of stuff is just wrong. WRONG! And I'll always let others know when I know of wrong things.

Jenny Gannon has a Facebook page as does her other ID Jenny Singleton.

So please, beware and take the time to check out the websites, facebook pages, blogs, eBay and any other source you can find on an "artist" and be sure to ask around if you are in doubt. The reborn industry is HUGE and we are always watching out for each other so do ask and protect yourself.

Babies on eBay!No, I didn't forget that I was going to post the links for both Nicky Jack and little Alaytheea

Both auctions are live and running on eBay. Please take a peek if you have time and wish them well. I would love to send them home to new "mommies" by Christmas.

Mohair!

This weeks mohair is all processed and I hope to get it listed on Artfire here in a few moments. Be sure to check the link later. Right now I have some blonde colors listed but I'll be listing shades of brown, which is always so popular.

Custom order Robyn!
Wow...there is a lot going on today! I will assemble the little peanut this evening and take her pictures. Her mommy, one of my dearest friends, is coming to pick her up tomorrow...which means I get fun girly-dolly time! I can't wait!

Have a terrific day!
Hugs!

  1. You did the right thing by getting her website shut down. What she did was wrong and illegal. I would however like to inform you that I know who Jenny Gannon is and she has an I.Q. of about 70 . NO LIE ! I have no doubt any written correspondence with her contained numerous mispellings and no sentence structure. I personally would have found this odd considering that she claims to be a Kent State graduate on her facebook ! LOL ! You took the right approach , but in her defense she honestly doesn't know any better.

    1. She has enough of an IQ to scam, lie, be deceitful, and underhanded...that she has enough of an IQ for...

    2. Evil people don't need high IQs to be evil. And I highly doubt Ms. Gannon, whomever she is, ever set foot in Kent State University, except maybe to use the bathroom. What she is doing is disgusting and wrong.

  2. Thank you Anonymous. It really does not matter to the law and morality that she has a low IQ. I am sure she can understand "this is wrong and you must stop". Even 2 year olds understand that. She just chooses to defy and deny the wrongness of her actions.

    2. There is another person on facebook, that is showing reborn babies and monkeys and saying that she made them and is selling them but you have to inbox her for prices. I really think these are someone else's work she is showing as her own I may be wrong, but she has been doing this with recipes and cakes from pintrest, her name is Rosemary Leigh Houchin. I just think it is wrong to take credit for someone else's work. Just thought you would like to know.

    3. Thank you Anonymous. I have looked her up and am asking a question or two. Some of the photo's do look familiar and appear to be photo's of photo's on the computer screen. Many of the dolls are manufactured dolls that she MAY have enhanced a little bit, but they really aren't reborns.
Just keep watching, I will too. :)

    4. Rosemary Leigh Houchin sells your dolls for profit. Never credits you. She uses pictures on her fb page also of various recipes and claims they are hers. The woman is sick in the head

    5. Thank you for this information. It appears that Rosemary Leigh Houchin no longer has a Facebook page. I do not know if that is by her choice of if she was reported and shut down.
      Thank you for keeping watch!

  4. You are absolutely correct~she is not dumb! Her newest names are Jenny Singleton, Jenny Tyler and the newest one, Gem Lewis. I'll create a new blog post about these names on Sunday.

  5. BUYER BEWARE !! I also had trouble with an online "artist" from Canada. The site is still up and running with wonderful testimonies. Seller claimed I never returned emails so she didn't deliver the doll after the down payment for supplies. Learned that PAYPAL has only a 45 day claim limit from the date of purchase. Thankfully, my credit card company stood by me; I kept every single email to prove my case. I claimed the card's fraud and theft protection. The credit card company decided in my favor and I received a full refund.

  10. Jenny is posting a lot in a new group called lil munster and fantasy reborns. The dolls all look so different you can tell it's not the same artist. I just warned the group admin but my being the only male in the group she may not take me seriously.

  12. She denied the first time I contacted her that she had my pictures as well. I sent copies of said pictures to her and she took mine off right away.
Please keep trying and report her to Facebook as well.
I notice that she posts that she is working on a doll but never posts her own progress or finished pictures. Too, too bad.

  15. Hello Jenny,
If you don't have time to post your own pictures, why do you have time to post other artist's pictures? I simply do not understand. Be proud of your own work and show it off, and leave others to show off their own work on their own pages. It is not nice to mislead people into believing what you post is your own work.
    Have a good day :)

  17. Very sad what the reborning world is encountering. I've collected for years and it just seems that ugliness of greed has bore its ugly head in such a beautiful art. I'm so sorry for what you went through. I got scammed by a Tiffany Ostman. She's on Etsy. Goes by TTsbabies. Sold me a Gena and Gabriel so poorly made and constructed and she lied so much throughout the transaction. I took pictures to show Etsy what she sold me. They offered to let me do a refund but she lied so much about so many things, I didn't want to be out money and the dolls, so I just kept them. They even removed the negative feedback she got. I did report her for listing Gena and Gabriel, the same ones she sold me, she had listed them again saying they were for sale. I reported her though and they made her take them down. She's on Youtube under Tiffany Ostman. She stuffed the dolls with garbage. Claimed they were 5 and 6lbs each, they didn't even weigh a pound each. She filled them with garbage and did such a horrible paint job on them. She's also on Bountiful Baby's forum so beware and don't buy anything from her. She's a scammer!

  18. I am so very sorry that you have run into such a bad seller. We will surely keep that name and ID in mind. I'm glad that you posted!! This will help protect others.

Too too bad that Etsy did not pull her, especially for attempting to sell the same dolls again~to which she did not have. How terrible!

God bless you and hang in there. There are still good sellers out there, just research all that you can before you buy again.

    Hugs~

  19. I'm currently in the process of getting scammed on Etsy by TTsbabies, her feedback is horrid and they've suspended her shop and I'm not fighting with Etsy to get my money back, she's blatantly refusing to ship my doll, says its ready to go but has shown no proof. Etsy is driving me insane with their poor handling of the matter, in the last month she has received 3 negatives and 2 neutrals, sadly this was after I made my purchase. After I hadn't heard from her for 3 weeks I checked her page and found the negatives, contacted her with no response after a week I put it over to Etsy its now 3 weeks after I lodged and still nothing.

  22. I see she has a friend by the name of ------ Cribbs. She has used that last name in the past when she needed to change her ID.
I think there are still a few pictures that are not hers.

  23. There's a lady going by Tiffany Ostman scamming in Montana now. She stole $200 from my friend and never gave a doll. She has since blocked my friend. Her poor little girl didn't get her doll for her birthday!

    2. She got me for $300 and my girls Christmas!!! I found her just posting dolls on Facebook sale sites. I just found her as tiffany ostman. I tried to message her yesterday and she deleted her Facebook. I know she has gotten SEVERAL people, there was always quite a few posting on her page wanting their dolls. I am calling PayPal, its too late to dispute that but at least they will know, hopefully my credit card company can get my money back. I will also contact my local and Billings mt police. theft is theft and she appears to have done a lot of it. shes a good talker though. Had me believing until yesterday my dolls would be here!

  24. This is fraud! Is anyone reporting her to the BBB or the FTC?

  25. Not to my knowledge but her website had been shut down in the past. I do not know if she currently has a website or under what name it would be.
Upon checking her Facebook page today, she seems to be into hairless cats and pit bull dogs right now. Maybe the doll world is safe for a bit.

  26. Tiffany Ostman scammed me to. Now I see she is on a website for people who have lost their babies. That is very sad. I felt sorry for her and gave her several chances. She has lied and said she has sent them.

  27. I can't remember the names of all the scam artists, how will I ever find a reborn baby for me?

    1. I understand completely Jan. As I stated in the blog, do your research. A simple Google Search will lead you to areas where you can read. If a person has been found as a scammer, people do talk about it and it will show up in searches.

Take the time to check out the websites, facebook pages, blogs, eBay and any other source you can find on an "artist" and be sure to ask around if you are in doubt. The reborn industry is HUGE and we are always watching out for each other so do ask and protect yourself.

I think the greatest mistake that consumers make is to make a quick purchase because something grabbed their heart strings. There are more and more "artists" using other artist pictures which call attention to the buyer who will just buy because the other artist's work is stunning and the price is so low. I found a seller in the UK this week using my and other artist pictures to gain custom orders. The pictures clearly showed the other artist nursery names/logos which is a dead give away. If an artist will not show her own work on her own pages, pass her up. One cannot get the quality of dolls these scammers use in their listings for the prices they charge. A low selling price could be a red flag for you. Be aware and do your research. I am always here to help to and will be happy to tell you if I know of the seller and the history before you buy.

There are pages on Facebook where people list scammer names but goodness, they sure do get filled with drama. Research on your own works very well. :)

      Good luck!

  28. I just had a bad experience with an Etsy seller who claims sell Reborn babies but instead she send a berenguer first tear doll without any work do as she claimed and without accesories as she has on her pictures. It is sad that people scam with the illusions and money of others.

Would you please share the Etsy Seller's ID here or send it to me in an email at tngun05@gmail.com ?
I'd like to take a look to see if I've run across her before.
Thanks and again, I am feel so bad this happened to you.

    1. I am sorry that you feel that way Jenny, but just recently you tried to sell Precious Little Baby Dust and Lara Antanocci DVD's that were confirmed that you did not have. You also tried to sell a Twin B kit that you did not have. You were using Sylvia Creations photos for your Timeline photo on your "Jenny Singleton" Facebook page....shall I go on? Many are watching you!
