This week

We just returned home from a family reunion and I am back to work for a few days before we take more time off for medical appointments and a horse clinic.

I have began banding up mohair in preparation of a month-long mohair processing adventure!

I finished the little Tiny Tally full body silicone mini but am waiting for part of her outfit to arrive from the UK before I photograph her and offer her for sale.  Oh, that reminds me, I need to send in my camera for repairs.

I also have finished the mini Ashton Drake Emily that I started for my granddaughter months ago.  I am waiting for her custom clothes to arrive too, from the US and the UK.

I do not have any other dolls on the table at this time.  With all that is going on, mohair is the best thing to be working on and it's been a while since I have processed so all is good.

At least for now.  Mom is holding steady but we all know that that could change at any time.

My brothers memorial service (private family service) will be over Labor Day weekend.

We all have to go through these seasons of our lives.

Have you missed me?

I can honestly say that over the last year+, I am being refined by the fire.

Wednesday night, July 5th, I received a phone call that my brother Ken, age 56 was taken by ambulance to the hospital and not expected to make it.

They later attempted to Life-Flight him to a larger hospital where he passed away enroute.

56 is MUCH too young.

My family does not have the official cause of death yet, but he had been struggling with pneumonia.

I rushed the 4 hours to my mothers side.

Miraculously, her failing heart survived something I could not even imagine.
Children are not supposed to go before their parents.

Mom is SUPPOSED to have 24 hour care but the family that resides where she does are not able to come together to give it.
She does have 27 hours a week (3 hrs a day, 7X a week) of "caregiver" help.

We are trying very hard to convince her to come to live with us here.
I gave her a photo tour of our home and showed her what her spaces would look like and how she could enjoy the deck, gardens, flower and watching the horses frolic in the pasture.

Time will tell.

Well, I have missed YOU and now it's time to catch up from being away 5 days at a place where I could only get limited internet when I was able to go to the Library, which turned out to be only enough time to get the most critical tasks done, like print a label to send Mack on his way home.

My little Moon baby!  :)

Rest in peace Big Brother.
Until someday maybe we shall meet again.

Prototype Mack is available on eBay

Please, if you have a moment to spare, take a tour of Mack's auction on eBay

Lilianne Breedveld deserves all of the attention this little one can bring her!

You can also view the rest of his picture in the eBay auction.

And for your enjoyment, here is the "roll-play" video I created with Mack:

Ahhh....this baby is...amazing!

Bathing full body Mack video!

Oh my goodness....if technical issued could happen, they did!

But finally I was able to video and process two videos of Mack.

This first one shows how to bathe a full body silicone.

Come and check this baby doll out....
he is SO real!

I will be finishing up his auction pictures today (my technical difficulties put me far behind!) and will have his auction ready to start tomorrow morning, Wednesday June 28, 2017

I am going to miss this baby....

Video and photography day for Mack!

What a week it has been, starting with last Saturday.

I was called early in the morning to go to my mother's hospital bedside where they did not think that she would survive.  Mom is 4 hours away.

Before I arrived, I was getting messages like, "Mom is doing better!".
That was such a relief as if it was her time to pass (she's only 76) I wanted to be there.

But, she did not pass and when I got there, she was alert and fully aware of her world, and she just continued to get better.

Whew, what a scare!

I took Mack's head with me to finish rooting his hair...IF I could.

I was able to "finish" between working on him by mom's bedside and in the evening while I stayed at her apartment.

But of course, when I got home (after knowing that mom was going to be fine), I was not satisfied with the crown and also added a bit to his hair line in front.

Then it took me more time than expected to do his lashes and another day to do his brows and final glossing and matting!  I do not know why I had such a hard time with those things.

So today, with hair on his head (and face~lol) I will be doing two videos and his photo shoot.

It will take me all day tomorrow to process the videos and photos to prepare them for eBay.

I should be able to get his auction up for Monday evening, June 26th.

Oh, I was "caught" in mom's room working on his head and his head quickly "made the rounds" through the nurses station...and then I was asked to bring him out again the next day.

It was really fun and lightened the mood in the hospital with everyone.

I love my "job"!

Tiny peek

Getting back late on Monday left me pooped!

I had Tuesday to work on full body silicone Mack and was gone all day again yesterday, and am leaving tomorrow (Friday) again for the weekend.

I'll be working on Mack again today so for now, I offer a little peek at the mini resin baby I've reborned;  Tulip by Izzy Zhao.

As soon as I have a few minutes to take more pictures of her in her "outfits" that arrived, she will be available for adoption  :)

Mother's Day extended weekend :)

To all of the mothers out there, I would like to say a special THANK YOU.

Moms are just special!

I will be leaving today to spend two nights with my own special mother and then another night and day with my daughter, her husband and their two daughters...my granddaughters!

I wish you all a very wonderful weekend.

May God bless and keep you.

Full body silicone boy has arrived to the studio!

Please welcome prototype Mack!

Here is in his blank state...I will begin the tedious painting process today.

Yesterday was spent "bonding" with him to understand his character and personality.

I am truly excited about this perfect little guy!

He was sculpted by Lilianne Breedveld and poured in the US by Claire Taylor.

He has a ball jointed head, armature in his arms, is anatomically correct
(warning, naked pictures below!) and has an open mouth with a tongue and gums.
He can take a full bottle and full pacifier nipple!

I am in love!

Busy, busy, busy!!!!!

Spring is in full bloom here and with that comes so many added chores, plus taking care of TWO homes...the one I live in and the one we are preparing to sell.

That said, I DO have a sweet and precious little Resin baby finished and yesterday,
a darling full body silicone prototype boy arrived to the studio!

I'll share pictures as soon as I can get some taken.
That is the part I am not finding time to do.

Happy Wednesday!

Oh hey look! A classic reborn Berenguer available for direct adoption!

I kept this one hidden from you!
(Well, I think I mentioned it but never showed her)

Please meet Tori!
(Short for Victory because each and every baby is a victory to me!)

Tori is created from the same 15 inch Berenguer sculpt that I created my first reborn doll from a little over 12 years ago.

Here is a comparison of the two:

What a difference 12 years makes!  :)

Tori is available for direct adoption on my website:

And a few more pictures just to show her off here:

I simply adore her!
