Art and Magic Water Borne Paints AVAILABLE NOW!

But first, a report on the baby I painted using only the premixed colors.

Oh I have so enjoyed working on Thomas Huti and am delighted how he turned out!

Isn't he gorgeous???

The premixed colors were a dream to work with.  The colors were correct and just right for reborn dolls.  Even the lip and nail gloss was wonderful and I used it on his lips, nails, eye creases and nostrils.

The color journal will include pictures and painting techniques up to this point of Thomas' creation.

I have also filmed a video of painted hair using Thomas and the premixed colors.
I did have to combine premixed colors to make the colors that I desired for his hair but it was
very easy and the colors were perfect.

Here is Thomas with his painted hair and...

he grew eyelashes!

The paints are NOW available on Stephanie's website:

I found the premixed colors to be very adequate in creating a beautiful reborn baby doll.
I highly recommend them to the beginner and I recommend BOTH sets for the experienced artist.

By my recommendation, the paints will include a jar of Liquitex Ultra Matte Gel.  Even though the paint tech sheets state that just water can be used, I find greater results with the use of the Ultra Matte Gel and water.  The gel grabs onto the paint pigments allowing ease of use.
A spectacular combination.

So the next baby will be a Master Artist Series baby.
I may not begin that baby until the week after next.  I've got a lot of things to finish before I begin a new project and...it's mohair time again.

Have a great rest of your weekend (obviously, I'm working on my day "off"!)

  1. Both the babies you've done with Stephanie's paints look awesome! I'm impressed. I love the painted hair on the Huti baby! Can't wait to see what you do next :)
