Laurel in silicone is repainted! My first silicone reborn

This sweet little girl was a labor of love and education.
She is not without errors and her silicone not without flaws, but overall I am completely thrilled with her!

Please allow me to re-introduce to my personal collection, Laurel in silicone~repainted.

Laurel is a 2009 silicone baby by Rita Rich Arnold.  I bought her at the Tiny Treasures Show in Texas.  She was a boo-boo baby that I purchased for an incredible price.  I have loved this little one (she is about 15" long and very dainty) since the beginning.
She had a wig on when I bought her, which promptly fell off.  That is okay as I have enjoyed her as a bald baby.  I do intend to give her a head of newborn hair and lashes but that will have to wait.

Laurel had a small crack behind one knee when I bought her.  By the time I finished figuring out which paints would stick to her, she was cracked behind both knees, both elbows, both ankles and one wrist...and probably a finger or two!  Repairing silicone is quite easy and she is all fixed up now....except for a chunk she is missing from one finger and the lobe of one ear.  Poor baby!

It was a learning experience for sure!

I did a terrible job on her right eyebrow and exceptionally horrible on her nail tips!
The color is too white and her tips were in poor condition making using the super thick silicone paint even harder.

That is the worst I can say about my little peanut.  I am thrilled and the next one will be even better.
Enjoy the rest of her pictures.
(I did not catch until I view the pictures that a hair flew onto her face during the photo session.  It is not stuck there~I was VERY careful about hairs while painting her.  What a challenge!)

I have already prepped the next silicone doll I will reborn  :)
