The pay is well, less than I get which isn't much! LOL
Okay, I really am kidding but oh, in a perfect world it would be nice to have many of these positions filled!!
I had my hair cut yesterday (which ended up being right in the middle of my day which totally thwarted any hope of painting on the Hispanic Arianna) and as I paid my bill, I could not help but think that I am totally in the wrong line of work! $25 for a 30 minute hair trim. Wow...can you imagine that kind of pay for a reborn baby doll artist? Typically I spend 25 hours minimum painting a doll and 30-50 hours rooting one. So let's say....60 hours of just actual artwork~not counting all of the above things that go into getting the doll ready and listed to sell. At $50 an hour, like my hair dresser makes, that would make the doll $3000! Oh to dream!
Anyway, this post really wasn't about my "pay". LOL I just got sidetracked and had to clear my head of random clutter. It has been a cluttered week for sure! Actually, the last two weeks have been.
In all the random clutter, I had two dolls hanging around that I added a little color to and changed outfits on. Here is a little eye candy:
Missy has a bit more color and a new dress set from The Children's Place. I am waiting for sleeveless onsies to arrive so that I can take pictures of her pretty sleeveless dress without the sweater on (so her body does not show around her neck).
The blog still washes her out! Noah John got a bit more color as well and a new Petite Ami bubble and a Will Beth blanket. He also has a PA day gown as well which I need to take photo's of him in.
I had created these two for a show last fall specifically to a customer's liking. I knew she would be at the show but she did not buy either baby. That is the last time I try to guess who will want what at a show! LOL
They both really are very beautiful dolls and even though they are for sale now, I do intend to take them to the NC Down East Doll Show if they don't find mommies by then.
Off to write an article.
Hugs for the day!
