Almost ready for Sauder Village!

I better be, I leave around 4 pm today to catch my flight at 8:59 pm.

LOL

I am amazed at how well things went getting ready after just getting back from my cowgirl camping trip!

I even got many things done that I didn't think I would...I'll even be vacuuming the house and painting my toe nails!

I have 2-3 spots left open in my class on Thursday and Friday.
Join me if you can!

7 babies are ready for adoption.

Mohair is ready and sent to Ohio already.

DVD will be playing at my table and will be for sale.

Now...about cowgirl weekend:

My 6 year old gelding did amazing on his first cowgirl camp!
We only had two small incidences (he tried to brush me off under branches from a tree and he bucked a few times going up a hill when I allowed him to lope up it) but I only have a few little bruises and I didn't fall off.

By the third day, he was perfect and will be an awesome rugged trail horse.

Here is a picture where we climbed and climbed and climbed some more to get high up on this mountain.  We peeked the top right to the right of the picture.  Our camp is in that valley below.

I have a zillion pictures but will leave you with this one.
This is the only wild mustang that we saw and it was amazing how close he allowed us to get to him.
We call him Lonely Louie.

Oh, and Norm?   The mustang we were helping to train?
He found a lovely home over the weekend at the Extreme Mustang Makeover!
The new owner, a woman, lives about 1 1/2 hours from us.  We feel that we will see Norm again some day.  :)  Norm is not the same horse he began training just 4 short weeks ago.
Here is my husband helping with him in the arena.

My schedule in Ohio is INTENSE so I doubt I will be blogging.
Have a great, GREAT week and I'll see you when I get back!

Quick pictures of last two!

I managed to clear a spot to snap a few pictures of the last two babies that are going to Sauder Village with me next week.

The first is Sebastian, created from the vinyl kit "Katie" sculpt by Marita Winters.
He is 10" long!

And this is Petunia!
She is waiting for her custom outfit but she's pretty cute in just her diaper!
She is as full body micro-preemie silicone by Melissa McCrory.
I don't remember her sculpt name!
She is about 10 inches or so as well.  Haven't measured her yet.
She is rooted with Suri Alpaca hair.

Alright, I am off to Cowgirl Camp today until Sunday!
YeeeeeHaw!

Add one more to the Sauder Village show line up :)

Elijah's auction was the weirdest auction I've had in a long time!

I had two zero feedback bidders.  The first one, with the opening bid I was able to contact and she wanted him but could only spend so much.

The second one jumped on and bid while we were out to a birthday dinner and I could not find a way to remove the bid from my phone.  I am really thankful that no one else bid because I had no way of knowing how high that second zero feedback bidder bid and I hated think of the possibility of someone messing with legitimate bids.

In my auctions, I post that if you have less than a 5 feedback score to please contact me before bidding.

In MANY auctions that end up with non paying bidders, it is the zero feedback bidders that almost always cause the problems.

I am just glad that I don't have to deal with any issues or problems and I am just as happy to take this beautiful boy to Sauder Village with me!

I am breathing :)

After my stressed-out post yesterday, I received a sweet email from one of my blessed friends.

Her words of encouragement and her offers of prayers were just what I needed to get me through the day.

I am breathing...which is one thing she said to do!

And I am getting there!

I want to show you my latest creation but all of my photo areas are such a mess right now that I have no where to take pictures of her!  Plus, her little outfit is coming in the mail.

Onward, forward!!!

Please tell me I am going to survive!

Yesterday I felt in control.

Today I do not!

My husband keeps adding things/changing things to my next week and a half which is GREATLY thwarting my plans.

I have every single moment written down on a note pad with a task to complete and adding things to it/him taking an additional day off really, REALLY compromises my task list.

I don't know about you but when I need to COMPLETELY focus on tasks at hand, I am almost incapable when hubby has the day off and is home.  I love him dearly and he is a good and sweet man...I am just too in tune to what HE needs to focus on what I need in those moments.

I am beginning to stress out big time!

Please tell me that I will survive!

5 1/2 WORK days until my flight to Sauder Village

I am making headway in being prepared.

I won't be rooting one of the micro-preemie silicone's as I just don't have time.  I'll get the tiny vinyl baby done though.  I will have enough dolls.

Mohair is coming along nicely.

Kits are prepared for paint.

Supplies are in.

Gathering has started, deciding what will be mailed ahead of time and what will go into my luggage.

I am getting there.

Elijah Prototype #3 by Jorja Pigott on eBay and YouTube

I shared some of his pictures yesterday so today are his eBay link and YouTube video!

Ever since Jorja asked me to reborn a prototype of Elijah, the song in the video has been on my mind.  That made me think it was the right song for this serious little man!

What a charming little...big...guy!

Desperate body measures! ~Elijah~

I don't remember if I shared how I got a body that was too big for Elijah when his prototype kit arrived.

Jorja Pigott was not aware that the manufacture sent TWO different sizes of bodies for Jorja's approval.  I just happened to get the biggest one which was, to big.

So, I ordered another one from another gal as the body being made for his kit comes from China and I knew it would take too long.

The new body arrived yesterday and it is a GREAT body made by Diana Miller.
I will be ordering from her in the future for sure.

But...the body was an inch too short and not full enough to handle this size of a baby.

Being desperate to get this baby finished and listed, I did some modifications!

I took the original (big) body and put some tucks in the belly area to shorten the torso.  That worked really well and actually gave a nice little pouch for his belly...so cute!

But, the arm caps were still too short on this body.  So I did what any desperate person would do...I took those arm caps off (yes, this required "surgery" in the kitchen with several tools from hubby's stash!), took the arm caps off the new body and placed them on the original body!

Walla...a body that fits so much better!

Here is the little love in all of his glory waiting for me to edit his video and create his listing.

I had so many color variations in the nursery yesterday!
I have a difficult time photographing Ethnic babies in the studio so I decided to try Elijah's photo shoot in the nursery.

Because of the body altering, I began the shoot later in the day than I should have for the best light.
Ugh.

This baby has a beautiful, warm cinnamon tone.  Some of the pictures looked too yellow and some even too red or washed out.

I hope I got enough good ones.

I hope to have him on eBay tonight.

Artists, it is not too late to pre-order this kit.

The edition is set at just 255 kits worldwide.

They can be pre-ordered from Jorja's website where you will also find links to dealers around the world.

Elijah was created as an Ethnic sculpt but I think this baby will make a glorious Caucasian baby as well.  I love my Elijah but somewhat regret not making him Caucasian.

So with that, I can't wait to see what others do with this sculpt!

Elijah goes on eBay tonight.

One little Micro-preemie Silicone rooted!

Last night, at about 10 pm, I finished the trimming of hair and rooting of lashes on this little micro-preemie full body silicone that is going to Sauder Village with me

Of course, in that picture, she is not rooted but ohhhh...she is SO cute with hair and lashes!

Her name is Petunia and her custom outfit is in progress.

Onto the next project!

Just 9 work days until Sauder Village!

EEEEkkkkkkkk!

I am starting to feel just a bit stressed with the reality of only 9 work days until the show!

I have a micro-preemie silicone head 1/2 way rooted with one more micro-preemie silicone and one micro-preemie vinyl head to go.

I have to finalize my speech, finish up the preparation for my class and....

process mohair.

Oh yes, and get Elijah listed.  His new body should have arrived yesterday but our mail has been a day behind all week so it did not.

Yikes!

I better get busy!

Silicone Jaylee, now Jaylen, is ready for Sauder Village!

This might just be my favorite doll of all times.
He turned out so darling!

Little peek at Elijah with hair

Well now...I have a body issue, AGAIN!

This time, it is understandable what happened.

The kit manufacturer for Jorja Pigott's Elijah sent two sizes of bodies, but did not tell Jorja that bit of information.

So the body I have for Eljah is too long and I am currently waiting for another one before he can go to eBay.

While we wait, here are a few pictures of him with hair  :)

Also while I wait, I am starting to finish up dolls for the Sauder Village Doll Show!
