THe next silicone coming up :)

It will be a boy!!

This is "Evan", sculpted by Toby Morgan and poured by Sherry Bowden.

He is a cloth body preemie with full limbs.

He will be my next silicone up for adoption.
Here he is in the blank kit...of course I had to play!

Isn't he just so cute???
I love boys!

First peek at Luna and how I will offer her for sale

Oh this baby!  This sweet, SWEET baby!!!
Even un-matted she is SWEET!

HOW will I EVER part with her???

I'll tell you how....
By ONE TIME bids on my Facebook business page!

When Luna is finished, (yes, she will have rooted hair) I will post on my Facebook Business Page that her bidding is open.

Interested buyers will get just one chance to put in a ONE TIME offer bid.  Some people have already fussed that they don't know how to do this and bid too low or too high.  For me it's pretty easy and exactly what I do on eBay when I put in a bid and walk away.  Decide what you can and are willing to pay and offer that bid.  I do not want to go to eBay with her as so many people dislike bidding on eBay these days.  She's not a prototype so why not try a different selling method?  This ONE TIME offer bid has been working well for some of the top artists in the industry and the collectors are happy too.

If you are reading this and do not have Facebook please email me at tngun05@gmail.com and I will be sure that you know when the bidding is open.  You CAN bid outside of the Facebook page but if you have Facebook, please bid on that page as it will help me manage the bids better  :)

I will continue to work on Luna in the next 2 weeks.
I SHOULD have her matted today but I want to give her silicone a bit more time to cure before I begin rooting since I will have her entire body in my lap during rooting.   And I take my mom this week and next week for cataract surgery~2 trips out of town and 2 follow up appointments in town.  Plus an additional doctor's appointment this week.  Busy, busy, busy!  I can't wait until mom can see better!

So for now, I will admire Luna and wait for that day when I will have to part with her.  Sniff.

By the way, she is a full body 14 1/2 inch ecoflex 20 silicone baby, poured in one entire piece.  Her neck is very realistically flexible so she needs no ball joint.  She drinks and wets too!

She was sculpted and poured by Jennie Lee.

And...she is as sweet as sugar!

New dolly I got for Christmas, upgraded :)

My mom kept wanting to buy me everything I looked at in the stores prior to Christmas stating "I will buy that for you for Christmas".  My reply always was "No mom, you don't need to buy this for me" to which she responded, "well then, what do you want???"

Sometimes you can't win with mothers so I told her what I REALLY wanted.

This sweet 8" dolly from Ashton Drake:

Of course I KNEW what the box was that arrived at our house addressed to Mom and we had fun talking about "the thing I didn't know about".

Meet "Welcome Home Kitty" who I have named Katie.
This is her right from the box:

I really felt like she was lacking in color....ANY color so I did what any artist would do, I fixed it!

Here she is now:

"Katie" is not a BJD.  I am not sure I would be a good "mom" for BJD's as I think I would have to paint the limbs and torsos of them!

I am pathetic!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

First baby of the new year is begun!

And it's Full Body Silicone LUNA!!!

This baby is so terribly sweet!
Jennie Lee outdid herself on this sculpt and the silicone.

Here is just a quick cell phone picture of her before I began.

Luna is 14 1/2 inches long with a drink and wet system.

She is poured in one full piece.  Her head it not ball-jointed...it does not need to be as it is super flexible.

She is snugly, poseable and just too cute for words!

Tomorrow I will show you a little project I worked on for myself the other night  :)

Happy Monday and welcome into the new year!

Ending of another year

I know that we all say it....
"Wow, this year went by fast".

But this year REALLY DID!

And I didn't accomplish much either, that's how fast it went!

My stats for 2017 are as follows:

Silicone dolls brought to life:  4
Vinyl dolls brought to life:  6
Resin dolls brought to life:  1
For a total of 11 dolls made in 2017

Dolls from 2017 that remain:  1

Of course, she COULD sell before the new year hits.
It is Tori that hasn't found her home yet.

I processed mohair twice....in February and in August.

I had a few articles published in the German magazine called "Puppen and Spielzeug".

And beyond that, I am not sure what I did!  :)

I am looking forward to a new year filled with adventure as I continue to adjust with a senior mom to care for.

I wish a happy and prosperous 2018 to you all!

Hugs

No more prototypes for a while :(

Purdey is going to be my last prototype for a while.

With the daily, hourly and minute-by-minute care that my mom needs, I have decided to take a break from doing any prototypes, vinyl or silicone until she greatly improves (not likely to happen) or passes from this earth...which I hope is not for a long while yet.

It is a very hard decision for me, especially since Lilianne has already asked me to do her Buddy that is coming up in a couple of months.  Sniff, sniff.

BUT, it is a good one for me as I need to stay healthy and as stress free as possible.

Now, don't worry, I have many amazing kits and silicones that I will be doing.  I just won't be doing them under a deadline or obligation.

So I still have my creative outlet, working in the room right next to mom's.

Life is good!

If you do not hear from me beforehand, please have a very Merry, Merry Christmas!

Love and hugs!
