One WIP picture of Hannah (full body silicone)

I have finished the matting on Hannah, the full body silicone sculpted and poured by Joanna Gomes!

I really enjoyed washing off her matting powder...and she slept through the whole thing!

Reposting Air Dry Paints facts and tips

Since I posted the link for my July "Make the Switch to Air Dry Paints" class yesterday, I have received a lot of questions and apprehensions regarding air dry paints.

Rather than re-typing the information all over again, I am going to repost my original

blog post from 2012 and add that this applies to ANY of the ACRYLIC AIR DRY PAINTS made for VINYL DOLLS that I use today.

Those brands are:

LDC by Doll Dreams (who no longer carries them but they can be found at

Art and Magic Water-borne Air Dry Paints found at

Special Care Nursery Air Dry Paints found at

and soon I will be also using Melissa George's Baby FX Air Dry Paints found at

Please, please, please trust me that acrylic air dry paints that are made for vinyl dolls
(I do not trust acrylic paints off of the shelves at the craft/hobby store!), when applied mixed with medium and allowed to cure are steadfast and durable.  I've been using them since 2008 and will continue to use them far into the future.

I sell dolls all over the world and take great pride in my work.

I would not help or promote these paints if I did not trust them.  :)

Hugs!

What is happening in 2015??

I know, it's the 11th already but...

Welcome to 2015!
The last month has been a blur with time off for the holidays and then even more family visits but I'm ready to get going again~back to work!

What will 2015 look like?

Well, the biggest thing on the agenda is the 2015 Rose International Doll Show in Denver Colorado!

 JULY 14-18

Don't forget, I'm teaching the "Make the Switch" air dry paint class there!

I have had a couple of people already sign up and I can't wait to spend this time in Denver with eager students!

There are still spots available, and you can use this LINK to sign up.

The ROSE INTERNATIONAL DOLL SHOW is filled with so many activities, be sure to check it all out!  The theme for the show is Christmas in July~how fun!

I will attend the Portland, OR Crossroads Doll and Teddy Bear show again over Labor Day weekend but I think just these two shows are all that I will get to this year.

I plan on having completed silicone dolls available at the shows.

As far as my business goes, I don't have any real "goals" except to continue to offer the finest silicone and reborn dolls.  I will be focusing greatly on silicone dolls, both cloth body and full body.

The dolly house will be delivered this week so that too will consume all of my off time hours as we finish the inside and then decorate it and set up the babies in their new home.

I am looking forward to a GREAT year!

Hugs!

I AM working...sort of!

I do not recommend moving, having a dolly house built and tossing in three holidays all at the same time!

WOW!
However did I survive all that?

Mostly by taking lots of time off from "work".

But I have been working some this week...a little anyway.

Husband is on furlough so I did up a little mohair and got the two silicones ready for the next painting steps.

I took pictures of custom Leigh, now named Lyon.

Husband is out of town picking up his parents to bring then home for a week (yep, more time off!)
so yesterday I finished the paint on Lyon (these pictures show him before I finished the paint) and I'll be matting him this morning before my family returns.

I think he is so very, very sweet!

I haven't taken pictures of full body silicone "Hannah" yet but as of about an hour ago, her paint is complete too.  I hope to get her matted today as well.

When I can really focus on my business, I'll fill you in on what's happening in 2015.

Hugs!

Dolly house just needs the roofing material!

It was still wet from the staining so we couldn't get close but LOOK!

It's a DOLLY HOUSE!

All it needs is the roofing material!

That is supposed to happen today, on Christmas Eve.
I'll try to get over there to get pictures~it's going to get real and real busy for us today as the rest of our kids and grandkids come into town.

Merry Christmas!!!
