New silicone kit arrived! Jaylee by Brit Klinger

I had planned on reborning my silicone "Precious" by Lilianne Breedveld while I reborn the custom
"Poppy" by Lilianne Breedveld, but those kits are both just to big to work on together.
(When working with silicone, it is advisable to work on more than one kit since one has a 2 hour cure time between layers and it maximizes the time in the nursery.)

I had this sweet little kit lurking in the background and finally was able to make the last payment on her/him.

I have never worked on a Brit Klinger kit before so I am excited for Jaylee!
She was poured by Angela Lewis in Eco Flex 50 and produced/sold by Tru Born.

This baby is destined for the Sauder Village Doll and Teddy Bear show in August.

I will have a lot of sleepers at that show!
And so far, two awake babies.

I will begin the painting of both Poppy and Jaylee on Sunday.

Gracious! Tavi is rooted!!

I had been working on Tavi's hair for about 6-7 hours a day on my work days
(I have gotten very faithful about honoring my days off and spending those days with family as well as tending to the needed domestic chores and gardening.)

Yesterday, after a 12 hour rooting marathon, Tavi's hair is complete and he has precious little lashes!

Today I will give him a bit more color where I feel it is needed, gloss him in the appropriate places and assemble this darling little guy!

Tomorrow will be his photo and video shoot and I hope to have him available on eBay by tomorrow night.  Preparing the photos and video take a great deal of time so we'll see just how that goes.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Tavi hair update. Amazing what a little more hair can do...

I do not yet know what his final style will be and I suspect there will be a few options, but I am loving his hair like this:

2-3 more days of rooting then he'll be ready for his photo and video shoot.

Rooting madness

There is just no way around it.

Rooting takes FOREVER!

Still working on Tavi and feeling like I am getting nowhere.

Poke, Poke, Poke...

Sharing my Collection Friday: I might be dolly pregnant...

It is true.

A new baby will be arriving possibly tomorrow, most likely on Monday.

After all, there is always room for just ONE more....

RIGHT?!?!?!?!

Might as well do two Marita Winters babies

When working with vinyl, I make it a habit not to work on more than one doll at a time.

But sometimes it just makes practical sense to work on a full size and a mini in conjunction with each other, especially if I am going for an ethnic tone and using Genesis paints.

So, I introduce to you, Sebastian, created from Marita Winters "Katie" 10" kit.

He is in line for hair and will be available at the Sauder Village Doll and Teddy Bear Show

Have a good Thursday!
