Me oh my...another OOAK Meet JACK!

Jack is a REAL One of a Kind GRANDSON!
Born October 3rd right here in our own town so we will get lot's of cuddles!
This one is from our youngest daughter and her husband.
The gender of this little guy was unknown until he was born~what fun!

This was our first look at Jack Owen.
Our daughter and son-in-law wanted a private birth and they spent about 45 minutes or so counting all of his fingers and toes before we all got to meet him.

He is just a teeny little guy weighing in at 6 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches long.
He will be long and lean!

Introductions to his grandpa, my husband:

And to me.  He has such a little cry!

 4 males in the family:
Grandpa Calvin and Jack
Uncle Bobby and cousin Jarrod
Our son in law had told us that he didn't think he could be in the labor and deliver room and that his precious wife might have to "go it alone"  (of course this family would never let that happen!).
But, he, all on his own with just the help of the nurse and doctor, was there the entire time helping his wife (our daughter) and witnessing Jack's entrance into the world.
He even cut the cord!  We are so proud of him!

He also swore that he would not be changing diapers.
I think our sweet girl convinced him otherwise and before Jack was even 24 hours old,
Daddy changed his first diaper.
Oh we just HAD to giggle though.  Can you see why?

But hey, he got it on snugger than I did!
And I HAVE changed diapers!
Atta boy Daddy!
Just can't wait to see how Jack grows and shapes you into the fine daddy that you are already becoming.

The kids weren't quite ready when labor began so our son was asked to give a helping hand.
Well we couldn't resist helping plus, the new crib showed up on our doorstep yesterday so we got together and set up the nursery.
It was so much fun!

Mom and baby are doing well and will arrive home from the hospital today  :)

Working on kid hair!

As I have mentioned, I have been spending mornings and evenings working on mohair.
All of the yearling and adult hair is washed, combed and ready to dye.

I spent all day yesterday and will spend all day today banding up the kid hair and hope to start dying in the mornings next week while continuing to band the kid hair in the evenings.

We are getting closer to mo' mohair!

I'll be starting paint on a new prototype on Sunday otherwise I could have the hair ready to buy by the end of next week.  It's all about balance, since there is only one of me  :)

I give the mohair 2-3 more weeks before it's all done.

Have a great day!

Joy is on eBay :)

I am SO excited that Joy is on eBay, not only because she has
such an infectious personality but because she is the first reborn to
be offered on my brand new template!

What do you think???

I hired Karen Valtin to do the work for me and she did an awesome job!

I am an easy going person but when I have an idea for something specific that I want,
I can be a challenge!  Poor Karen!

I had her change things around a million times before I fully made up my mind on the design.
She was awesome through the whole process, being very patient with me.

She also helped me a lot to make the collages...in fact, the collages in the auction she made and made me a tutorial as she went so that I could understand how to do it myself.
(She gave me a tutorial earlier but I am TERRIBLE about doing that sort of thing and I didn't understand much of it so she re-wrote it as she created these collages in a way that I could understand.  Awesome!)

The work up of the new template encouraged me to do some changes on my website
and I am thrilled with how it looks now.
Would you like to see??

Whew!  It's been a busy few weeks!
Have a good Tuesday!

Infectious Joy! Her video is live!

Oh my gracious did I ever have fun filming this one!
She IS infectious joy!

Last night, of course AFTER I filmed Joy's video, I finally learned how to turn off the sound on my video camera!  The next video will be even better  :)

Joy's kits are in stock now and ready to ship.
Click on the link below to go to Joy's order page.
If you are in another country, there is a button at the top of the page labled
"Find a Dealer" which will direct you to a shop in your country, or close to it.

I will be getting Joy's photo's auction ready and placing them onto my new template  :)
and up she will go onto eBay.
I'm so excited to offer her.  She is such a joy!

The batteries are charged and Joy is done!

This has seemed like a long labor but finally, all of the artwork is finished on Joy!
She's not really put together yet but here is a sneak peek:
I will spend all day today putting her together, doing her video and completing her photo shoot.

Tomorrow I will work on putting it all together and onto eBay with my
NEW template!

I've wanted a custom, just-for-me template made for years now and I finally took the steps, hired a talented gal and got it done!

I'm excited to show it all to you!

Have a great Sunday!

Sharing my Collection Friday! Grand baby furniture :)

With having so many new grandbabies around, we have added some furniture to our home.
I have always loved baby furniture and things so I could not help but play a little bit today!

We have this awesome jumper in the living room.
Timmy, although a bit small for it, still enjoyed it!
Molly enjoyed a snack in the big high chair in the dining room:

And this darling walker I was going to buy for Remington who lives on the other side of the state:
But...her mommy said "THAT is WAY too much PINK for us" so...I added it to my personal collection, at least for now.  We still have one grandbaby due in a few weeks and we do not know the gender of that baby.
Joylynne thinks it is very cool!
I have come to realize that I need a bigger boy baby around here  :)

Happy Friday!

Prototype stress!

I have just the top of Joy's head to root.  When I got to that point late yesterday afternoon, it was not going so well.  Ugh.  Some days are just like that.

Let's hope that today is better!  I really NEED to finish her hair today as this baby needs to find her way to eBay.

I fear I have cut her hair too short.   It does have the "just there" illusion that I wanted, but it's curlier than I expected.  Double ugh.

I hate when this happens, especially to a prototype!

Wish me well!
