Home and back to work

Today is my only day back to work this week and boy is it a busy one!

Sweet little Garnet sold last night to a customer who had a YouTube channel and does give-aways.

Garnet will be a "test" baby that will be passed around to young children to evaluate if this type of reborn doll is great for them...or not.

If they pass the test, they will be purchased for the channel (Hello Dolly) give-a-ways.
This channel currently does reborn give-a-ways for adults and they owner desired to do give-a-ways for children too.

Good luck Garnet!  I hope you pass the test!

Picture Story: Brittney and Stella play at the beach!

A day on the beach

Brittney is my personal "baby" that I made in 2008, sold on eBay and recently bought back from my customer.

I also created Stella as a custom order for one of my best friends and greatest customer.

****************************************************

It's a beautiful and warm day on the Oregon Coast Beach at Seaside,
a perfect day to take the babies out to play.

The girls thought these paper geese were a great place to stop and play for a bit.
The funny thing is, I thought these birds were real from a distance, right up until we arrived at the 13 birds stuck on sticks in the sand.  I really had to laugh at myself and NOW know how people feel when they find out that our dolls are not real!  LOL

 "Hewwo goose!"
"Stella, tan I pway wif your bucket??"
(I am PRETTY sure that Stella said "NO!")

"Mama!  Bwittney won't weave me awone!"
Mama takes Stella gently into her lap and holds her as she talks to the couple who delighted the crowds by sharing their paper geese.
The water looks so enticing so Brittney and I decide to get our toes wet.
 She really enjoyed it!
Now being closer to the damp sand, Brittney decides to build a sand castle...this time using her OWN bucket set.
 "Dis is fun!!"

What a beautiful shore line and background!
Stella digs a hole in the sand...

and Brittney wants to try it out....
 AND take all the toys!
The girls have been in the sun a long time so I decide to put up the sun umbrella.
Hahahaha...one let OUT of the hole!
Stella starts to bury Brittney in the hole she dug...
"Dare, dat will teach you to take all da toys, Bwittney!"
We decide that it is time stop this play before it gets out of hand.  So we clean up the toys, put the babies back in their strollers and head toward the hotel.  Of course, we talk with many people along the way (If you are ever going to be taking dolls out in public, make sure you have a LOT of time to chat with people as they will want to know "what's this all about???").
We talk to a lovely couple who's "baby" was this little schnauzer named Truman.
It is quite common for children and animals to want to touch and kiss the "babies" and Truman gave his share of kisses to Stella. (Who was comforted after the emotional ride of Brittney taking all the toys!)

Brittney began to look very sleepy and hungry so we headed for dinner..

and arrived back to our hotel room in time to watch the sunset.

After all that sand play, Brittney needed a bath!  The kitchen sink was just the right size for her bath.

Brittney and Stella both fell asleep very quickly.
The beach is one place to wear children out!

Portland Doll Show was a success!

Hello for the beautiful Pacific Coast at Seaside Oregon!!!

I am sitting here with my laptop looking straight out onto the beach at Seaside Oregon.
Wow...having an ocean-front hotel room is simply the BEST!  The beach atmosphere changes morning, noon and night.  It's awesome!!  I get to enjoy one more night here  :)

The Portland show as a great success as it always is.
I snapped a few pictures:

SO much fun!

That night, after the show, my friend, Sally, and I took our babies to dinner and shopping at the Portland IKEA store and played in our hotel room:

My sweet "Sugar" full bodied silicone by Melissa McCrory in her new dress I bought at the show:
Brittany loved playing with all the toys at IKEA!  LOL

THIS looks like it could lead to bedtime so she didn't want to hang out in here long:
She rathered to continue to play with the toys!

Back at the hotel she told me that she would like to be a super model when she grows up!
LOL
We had fun on the Oregon beach later in the day...
I'll save those pics for tomorrow  :)

Hugs!

Babies, babies, BABIES!

Sometimes it seems like nothing is happening here in the nursery and then all of the sudden...
Babies are born!

I have three to share with you today!

First is that precious prototype of Shy, Kellie Beckett's very first vinyl kit.

She is 12 1/2 inches long and weighs 2 pounds.
She is a delightful handful and I simply adored "playing" with her while I took her pictures.
She will go on eBay as soon as I have time to do the listing.
(I'm packing up and heading to Portland, Oregon for the Crossroads Doll and Teddy Bear show tomorrow morning.  I'll be on the blog when I can...I'm taking a 2 day vacation after the show and going to the Oregon Coast!  With personal dolls so you know stories will happen!)
I will bring Shy to the show but she will only be available for eye candy only.  Her adoption will be through eBay.

Please meet Shy:

And this little sweetheart is going home today.
She is Jessica Schenk's "Talullah", one of the three triplets.
I started her as I taught my one student at the Down East Doll Show.
My student desired to adopt her and asked for painted hair.

I think she turned out adorable!  I'll be doing the third triplet when I can and this student/customer would like to adopt him as well.

And this little one is ready for the show!
She's another Create a Baby...Created and is as cute as can be!
Meet Garnet:

The Portland show will be the last show for this year that I show MY babies at.
I am contemplating running a Create a Baby stand at the Puyallup Washington show in October where girls can come and assemble their own sweet Create a Baby.  I think this sounds like GREAT fun!

Hugs until I check in again.
