I'll be on an internet break...

March 12-16th will find me on an internet break as I travel around doing fun stuff. So, of course, I won't be blogging any of those days.

March 13th will find me competing in the 5K walk of the Shamrock Run in Portland, Oregon. Wow...there will be 30,500 people in that run/walk! That is a LOT of people! I am anxious to see the logistics of managing this many people in one event.

I'll be home for a brief overnight stay and then on the road again to Grangeville, Idaho to surprise my mother on her 70th birthday. She does not know I will be visiting her on her birthday nor does she know about the surprise dinner party that I've organized. This will be the first time in MANY years that much of my family will be gathered. I am so excited for her!

I will finally be able to give her that special little mouse made by Melissa McCrory that I purchased at IDEX for her. I hope her special day is just the best!

See you on Thursday if I'm not too overwhelmed!

Sharing my Collection Friday~Cowkids!

Matthew and Tamara heard that two of their "Aunties" sent them new clothes.
So...it's time to get them out of their full cowkids gear.

Awe, there they are! Matthew received a 4 piece Vitamins set from his Auntie in Arizona and Tamara received a two piece Baby Gap outfit from her Auntie in Oregon.
My babies have the BEST Aunties!

"What's the problem Matthew?"

"Towboys doesn't ware bibs!" he says.

"Well honey, you need to wear your bib so that you don't get chuckwagon grub on your clothes."

"Oh, otay Mommy. Tank you Auntie for my new set!" he finally agrees.

I think I'll leave them on the floor to play with their horses for a while.

Hugs and love to you all, to all the people in Japan (Earthquake) and protection to all of those on the coasts of the world as the tsunami comes in.

Sweet Berenguer is getting her hair

What a gorgeous color of hair for this baby! Her "mommy" wanted her to have fair skin, blue eyes and auburn red hair. This is a terrific combination!
The picture above was taken after two days of rooting.
The ones below were taken last night.

I still have to do some on the top, sides and the entire back. I'll come back to the front at the very end and do some finishing touches.

What a sweetheart!

Tomorrow is "Sharing my collection Friday". Cowboy Matthew and his girlfriend Tamara have some new outfits to share with you. :)

Hugs!

I have the BEST customers!

A package arrived the other day and in it were these sweet outfits!
Erik is comfortably wearing one of them:

They were sent by one of my customers. She and her adopted TNGUN baby were out shopping and thought of me too! AWE! I feel so loved, appreciated, and SPOILED!

I am blessed!

Custom order Berenguer Angel Face WIP

You just have to love those classic Berenguers~especially the Angel Face...at least AFTER you match the color of the head to the replaced limbs!

My customer desired this baby to have fair skin and auburn hair. The head is a Berenguer LaBaby "Angel Face" and the limbs are from a Berenguer Special Edition doll from 2006 (I believe). The color of the head was a light peachy color and the limbs a much darker peachy/orange color. The first set of limbs I tried to match were a horrible opaque orange and they ended up in the trash! These ones were much better.

I didn't realize that the pictures we so out of focus until I later looked at them but you'll get to see her after she has her hair and final details. Her paint is finished :)

Have a great Tuesday!

I'm back! For the last two days, there has been added text to the second picture in my posts! Yes, the babies ARE exciting but why those words are there is beyond me! I do not see the words here in my admin mode. How strange is that???

Introducing little Nina~SOLD!

Please welcome Nina...and say goodbye also! I posted her up on my website on Thursday afternoon and had her pending in sale within the hour. She was officially sold on Friday.

As a "Simple Treasures" baby she turned out so wonderful and realistic.

Her painted hair allows for many hats without baby fuzz.

She already left on Saturday headed home to mommy and several other siblings.

Also sold/adopted on Friday were Josiah and Toby! Friday was a great day!

Today will find me coloring mohair, mailing packages and finishing up the paint on the custom order Berenguer I've been working on. I've not taken any progress pictures as each time I work on her, I am running right into the time that I must be in the kitchen preparing dinner. Maybe today...we shall see.

My 5K interval walk this morning was wonderful. The temp outside was right around 38 degrees F with a light snow falling on occasions. The air was calm~unlike now with the wind blowing and the snow falling heavier. And, I've lost 1% body fat! Whoooo!

Have a great day!

I have the BEST students! Box Opening!

Yesterday I received a box in the mail...just a little box....

And in the box was a lovely letter from a student and....JACOB!

This 12 inch sweetie was created by a student of mine as her first solo reborn.

This student took a one-on-one class from me in 2008. She was terrified to start on her first solo baby so it took her some time to begin and then to finish but when she did finish~WOW! The skin tone on this baby is beautiful with gorgeous under-the-skin veins and details. I am so impressed! He is cute as can be from head to toe and....MINE! What a HIGH honor for me and a thrill too! I love him!

Heather, the reborn artist of little Jacob (sculpt by Jessica Schenk) ordered a custom made outfit from Janie of Fairytale Reborn Babies and Nightngale Custom Clothing. The darling little outfit is gorgeous with perfect craftsmanship. Jacob looks so handsome with the tiny bow tie to finish off the set. (You can see the bow tie best in the second picture)

Of course I HAD to try some other things on him as well and dress him just a little bit warmer for now. He'll put his cute suit-set back on when the weather warms.

Isn't he JUST Darling??? I have the BEST students!
