A bit overwhelmed!!!

Can I be duplicated??? I just have more to do than I can do on my own! Lack of sleep last night did not help the matter and remnants of this cold neither!

This too shall pass~

I was up last night preparing a requested submission to Discover Dolls Magazine. I was just too excited about it all to sleep! :)

Wee Yawns is going home today! He found a mommy on eBay on Saturday. I am so glad to know that he is joining sister's Sophie and Alix. He will be as loved as they are.

I just need some one to run to the post office for me and to the bank and stop by the store for some supplies...and clean my house and cook dinner....any takers? Hehehehehehe I just want to work in the custom Arianna! Actually, my dear, sweet husband is on the lookout for a house keeper as he knows it is all just too much for me.

If my Fed Ex boxes arrive today from Orlando, I simply am not even going to open them until tonight or first thing in the morning. (well, I might open one and remove Sweet Stuff and Baby Jena...but that's it!)

I took this picture of Baby Abi late yesterday. Sometimes it helps me to focus if I take just a moment to play with one of my dolls. I love this baby!

Alright....I'm off!

Back to work!

Hello everyone!

Wow....my cold has subsided and my mind feels almost human again~I can think!

Thinking can be a dangerous thing for me! I did not sleep much at all last night as my mind went through all kinds of thoughts.

The biggest thing on my mind is my Mom. Mom became ill and ended up in the hospital the Sunday of IDEX. This week has been murder on me in that I could not go to see her (5 hours away) since I had this cold. I have siblings in the area but all were working and no one could just stay with mom. She is home now and again, I want to be there full time but still am not well enough. My siblings are checking on her and my 15 yr old niece lives with her and is taking good care of her. If all continues to go well, by the time I am fully recovered she might be doing pretty great too so I will keep my planned visit of Feb 19th as it's a grand daughter's birthday and I was going to go up and visit everyone anyway. My two kids, my two grand kids, Mom and many siblings all live within 75 miles of each other.

Then there are future doll shows to think about. I really wanted to go to the Portland OR show on Feb 13th but I just can't do it. I have dolls available for adoption but having the cold I already feel behind on things and with the trip I will be making to see family it's just not feasible. And I MUST start on my 2010 custom order babies! I will be starting #1 Arianna today!

I will be attending the Melinda's Dolls Show on March 20th in Boise Idaho.

~BOISE Idaho Show~

And I am seriously contemplating this show in August:

~Knights Southeastern Doll Show-Asheville NC~

And many are suggesting this show in October:

~Doll and Teddy Bear Expo Winston-Salem~

However, there are two smaller shows in Boise Idaho that I like to attend in October and my customers love for me to go there too. I will have to decide.

Tomorrow the remainder of my show supplies will arrive via Fed Ex. That will bring much work to me to put all of that stuff away. I may not be able to reborn at all tomorrow as I just cannot function in that kind of a mess.

So I better get to it today!

Happy Sunday! It's good to be back!

I am home!

Hello from home everyone! Thanks so much for following the blog and welcome to all the new people that joined in :)

I realized when I pulled up to the house today that I have been gone a LONG time! My dogs and cat were so excited to see me. It's always lovely to come home to wagging tails and purring. And of course my dear husband who held down the fort was more than happy to have me back home too.

I flew all day yesterday with a head cold. Oh my goodness that was really miserable! But I had wonderful people to chat with to keep my mind off my exploding head. I met a really wonderful couple on my flight from Denver to Boise and we just had so much fun talking about dolls and life in general. I won't be forgetting Tom and Rosemary for a very long time. They just warmed my heart and helped me to my car with my luggage that held many heavy babies. (Thank God they all arrived without harm!)

So I will take a few days and let the dust settle at home here and also get over this cold. I have not had a cold for two years. Buggars (no pun intended~LOL). Went all the way to Florida to catch a cold~harrumph!

Take care each of you and I'll be back on before you know it.

Hugs without germs as it's via the internet :)

Down Town Disney!

Well dang. The first time that Sally and I went to Downtown Disney it was a gorgeous warm sunny day. This has been par for the course the last two years...RAIN!

Above is Deshi, Sally's new adoption all covered up and ready to play.

Above is my good friend Sharon Robinson with her handy dandy umbrella.

And just a shot looking across the courtyard in the rain.

But we are "girls" and we manage to have fun no matter what happens!

The princesses at the Bippity Boppity Boutique LOVED our dolls and they posed with Sally.

And this lady in the Rain Forest Cafe totally loved them. Here she is holding Ari.

I bought this bib for Ari and slipped it on her while her Mommy Becky went to the restroom. She was so surprised to see it and loved how it matches her dress.

One thing we love to do in Down Town Disney is to borrow items and use them as props. Here Abi sports this adorable hat!

We had a great day and my friends have a lot more pics of the fun but it's late and we are tired.

Abi got changed into some relaxing clothes after the big trip out. I think this dolly is just so cute and I love her to bits. I am keeping her :)

Tomorrow I fly to Idaho and stay the night with my friend who does not have internet. Then I will spend a couple days with my dear husband who has had to tolerate a lot with this show so I won't be blogging for a few days. Thank you all for following the blog and do come back and check up on it over the weekend.

Hugs!

Day three of the IDEX show!

It should be illegal to have this much fun and to be this tired! LOL

Today was a very short day at IDEX and it went so fast! The morning was spent allowing Nikki to meet...Nikki!

Debbie of Deborah's Darlings had a Caucasian Nikki on her table and I had an AA Nikki on mine. It was fun to put the two together.....they REALLY enjoyed the company!

(My Nikki was adopted yesterday but I had to ship her today so she spent the better part of the day with us)

And today were the contest results! I took pictures of a lot of the contest babies but they just did not turn out good enough for me to share and discredit the artists with my icky pictures so I am just going to show my entry called "Portrait Perfection".
We did not win any awards but entering was still fun and I love this baby doll!
The competition was tough and the ladies who won were deserving. I am sorry, I am just too tired to remember all of the details of the winners. The awards brunch was fancy and fun.

Nikki's new mommy came by so we took the customary picture since we forgot to yesterday:

And sweet baby Angie found a loving home with my very good friend, Sharon Robinson!

Here is Sharon, Angie and I in the customary picture. :)

If this gives you any indication of how tired and goofy were are....Becky signs us off tonight with a flighty little move! LOL Tomorrow we take our personal baby dolls and go to Down Town Disney with a bunch of ladies~it will be a riot!

Hugs!

Day two of the IDEX show!!!

Oh people..it's all so overwhelming! I am sure I will have MUCH to tell you next week as I "come down" from all this and reflect. At least that way we can drag the excitement of IDEX out for a while!

Here I am yesterday ready for the show~we were late getting this picture downloaded from my friends camera.

And VERY exciting news! I have been holding back on this information since the 2009 IDEX~This is Reva Schicks new "child doll" Angelica and I will be doing one of the prototypes of her! She was supposed to be to me and done in time for IDEX 2010 but there have been production problems since she is such a big kit and, she has a ball jointed neck and shoulders. They are getting closer now and I just can hardly wait!

Angelica was released for order today~

~Angelica's link to order~

I am bringing Reva Schicks new baby boy, Noah home to reborn sometime after I get my custom orders done. I am excited about that beautiful sculpt too.

My wonderful friend Sally took some time today to take some pictures of the babies in my booth:

Jason in the back R, Megan in the front:

DeShon:

Rilee who was adopted today:

Sweet Stuff prototype:

Lakita Marie:

Wee Yawns prototype and Angie:

Closer up of Angie:

Kristen:

Cody:

Yentel:

Nikki:

Then Sally and I had time today to take some pictures of other babies :)

These are Angela Harris sculpts:

Angela Harris "Sweet William" silicone:

Angela Harris silicones. The Emma on the left is just adorable and I love her!

Angela Harris "Deshi"

Dawn Donofrio's table. I love these big babies!

Me and my friend Becky. Becky adopted Rilee and loves her to bits.

My friend Pat with her Laura Tuzio Ross silicone, Sophia Aleya (sp???)

This young lady loves Wee Yawns and kept coming back to give him a cuddle:

And her younger sister loves Sweet Stuff and might be dreaming all night about her!

Tinneke Jansens came by with her OOAK, No No who was purchased for reproduction into 10 Resin dolls and a reborn doll kit! I am so excited! I want a resin and I want to reborn the kit that will be put out by Simply Reborn dolls.

Tinneke told me that really, there will only be NINE resins available as she will be keeping one :)

Oh how I love this baby!!

Sheila Michaels came by to cuddle her "Kristen" sculpt that I reborn:

I adopted two reborns out today, Rilee and Nicky so that was exciting and then the Doll Fan ladies gathered in the hotel restaurant for a wonderful buffet meal. I hear there were about 44 of us there!

Then we gathered in the loby for a baby shower gift exchange!

Look at all those presents!

I received this LOVELY ensemble as my gift. It's really beautiful!

Tomorrow will find us back on the show room floor at 8 am. The Tiny Treasures awards brunch is tomorrow and I know there is a lot of excitement and anticipation over this. I know I am excited! The competition is tough!

past time for bed now!

HUGS!
